Process at a glance

How the full laboratory process works

Before any paid recovery work starts, you know the device condition, the safest recovery procedure and the cost.

01

You report the problem

You describe the symptoms or phone us, and we suggest the safest first step.

02

We receive the device

The device reaches the laboratory in person, by courier or by parcel locker.

03

We diagnose and quote

We check the technical condition, the risk level and provide a specific quote.

04

We work safely

If the device is unstable, we first secure a working copy or image.

05

We hand over data

Recovered files are saved to the agreed device and can be verified.

Your path through the laboratory

From first report to recovered files

The process is organised to protect the device and keep every decision on your side. We do not start proper recovery work without your quote approval.

  1. 01

    Case report and device delivery

    Form • Phone • Laboratory

You describe the symptoms: RAW, no detection, clicking, a format message or a RAID problem. We confirm whether you should bring the device, ship it by courier or use a parcel locker.

What happens nextyou receive safe transport instructions and first-action guidance
  2. 02

    Intake and initial assessment

    Symptom record • Device protection

The device enters the diagnostic area. We check the symptoms, device type and risk of further damage before any technical work is started.

What you receivea clear note if the case requires immediate caution
  3. 03

    Technical diagnosis

    Logical • Firmware • Electronic • Mechanical

A technician checks whether the problem is related to file structures, firmware, electronics or mechanics. We do not run CHKDSK-style repairs on damaged media.

What you receivean explanation of the failure and the risk of further attempts
  4. 04

    Quote and client decision

    Report • Scope • Approval

After diagnosis, we provide the report, proposed method and quote. You can approve the work or decline it; proper recovery starts only after your decision.

What you receivea specific scope, cost and estimated turnaround time
  5. 05

Safe imaging / work on a copy

Binary copy • Fewer reads from the original

If the device is unstable, we prepare a sector-by-sector copy or image. This limits work on the original and reduces the risk of additional data loss.

What happens nextthe recovery work is performed on the safest available working material
  6. 06

    Recovery and data verification

Reconstruction • Selection • Quality control

We choose the method for the device type: HDD, SSD/NVMe, RAID/NAS, memory card, USB drive or company environment. After recovery, we verify file structure and sample data.

What you receiveinformation about accessible data and the recovered structure
  7. 07

    Recovered file handoff

Client drive • New device • Optional encryption

We can save recovered data to your device, to a prepared drive or to another agreed medium. On request, we provide a recovered-file list and work report.

What you receiveorganised files and a clear summary of the recovery scope
  8. 08

    After-recovery recommendations

    Backup • Next safety steps

After handoff, we explain how to reduce the risk of a repeat failure: when to replace the device, how to set up backups and what to avoid during another incident.

What remains after the processyour data and a simple path to better protection

Before diagnosis

What not to do when the data matters

The biggest losses often happen after repeated repair attempts. If the device clicks, disappears from the system or asks to be formatted, stop experimenting.

Do not

do not format the devicedo not run CHKDSK or system repairs blindlydo not install recovery software on the damaged drivedo not copy repeatedly if the device freezes the system

The safe first step

secure the device and do not write new datanote the symptoms and the last event before the failuredescribe the problem or phone before another attempt

After diagnosis

What you receive before deciding on the work

Diagnosis brings order to the situation. Instead of guessing, you receive specific information about the failure, risk, cost and next path.

Damage scope

What is affected: logical structures, firmware, electronics, mechanics, RAID or the environment.

Recovery conditions

The chances, limits and risks of further work with the device.

Specific quote

The scope and cost before proper recovery work begins.

Turnaround time

Whether the case needs a standard, express or business workflow.

Device for recovered data

Whether an additional drive, USB device or other safe target is needed.

Not sure where to start?

Describe the symptoms - we will tell you how to start safely.

Device delivery

How to deliver a drive safely?

Good packaging can save data. If the device has been dropped or you hear clicking, solid protection in transport is crucial.

Protect it with bubble wrap

Wrap the device in several layers to absorb shocks and limit movement inside the package.

Use a rigid box and filling

Choose a hard cardboard box and add foam or paper padding. The package must not move around inside.

Include contact details and symptoms

A note with your phone number, email and symptoms, for example RAW, clicking or no detection, helps us start diagnosis faster.

Want to ship a device? The fastest route is the short failure description form; we will share safe packing instructions and confirm the shipping details.

Process questions

Most common questions before diagnosis

What happens before the quote?

We assess the device condition first. After analysis, we explain the failure, scope of work and quote before proper recovery begins.

When do I receive the quote?

After technical diagnosis, before we begin proper recovery work.

Can I decline after the quote?

Yes. If you do not accept the quote, we do not start further work.

Do you work on the original device?

If the device is unstable, we first prepare a copy or image and limit work on the original.

How do I collect recovered data?

We save the data on an agreed device. You can provide your own drive or arrange for a new device to be prepared.

Safe first step

Describe the device symptoms - we will choose the diagnosis path.

Do not run more software or system repairs if the device behaves unstably. Let us check first what is safest.
