Most common accounting-office failure scenarios

In real incidents, the issue is rarely just “the program stopped opening”. The root cause is usually the environment under the data: a failing SSD in the main workstation, a damaged SQL database, a NAS with degraded RAID, or an unsafe restart after a Windows update.

Accounting teams work against deadlines, but speed should never mean working directly on a failing device. A short intake checklist helps us decide faster whether the case can be safely imaged immediately or whether the medium must be secured outside the client environment.

  • the last known good moment and whether anyone already ran CHKDSK, SQL repair or emergency copying,
  • whether priority mode is needed because of payroll, tax, ZUS/JPK or month-end deadlines.
